Where there is no vision, the people perish. Proverbs 29:18

A unique vision for growing the Kingdom

I was sitting in the sanctuary of an empty church, trying to find the words to express my fears, worries, and struggles to God.  We’ve all been there.  The emotions are loud, but the words are few.  In that silence, God began a great work in my heart.  The next Sunday, I began to hear from the people of the church.  God was working in their hearts as well.  It felt like the brokenness of the church reached a point that every wall was down, every meaningless effort was spent, and every resource was consumed…

...but God.  He was all that we had left, and everything we ever needed.

Through this desperation for God, He could finally work in our church.  God had a clean slate to work with, a blank canvas to start painting the picture of a new kind of church, a new kind of vision for growing the Kingdom.

On this blank canvas came this vision to reach people for Christ through micro congregations called mission outposts.  These are groups of 5-15 people that meet in homes, coffee shops, restaurants, libraries, and anywhere that the gospel needs to spread to.

We believe that this vision will lead us to people and places that brick and mortar could never reach. This network of mission outposts is a discipleship-first vision built on a culture of prayer. We continue to find more homes that we can meet in, more coffee shops that will open their business space for discipleship, and more cultures that we can embrace with the gospel of Christ.
